To create an emotionally resonant sci-fi short film on an independent budget that could compete at the festival circuit — proving that story and craft matter more than resources when it comes to standing out.
I wrote, directed, and produced the film from scratch — handling casting, location scouting, crew coordination, directing on set, and overseeing the entire post-production pipeline including editing, VFX, color, and sound design.
The production required building a cohesive sci-fi aesthetic with practical limitations, which pushed me to solve problems creatively — using light, composition, and sound to build a world that felt bigger than the budget.
The film won Best Sci-Fi at the Orlando Urban Film Festival 2022 and went on to screen at the Gladiator Film Festival in 2023, winning Best Short Film. It remains one of the clearest demonstrations of my ability to execute a complete, director-level creative vision from blank page to final screen.
